Growth Creates A Need For Excess Capacity Within The Finance Function

Client: Small Private Construction Company
Requirement: Interim Management Services - Controller

Business Situation

The client had experienced growth and was in need of an interim controller to handle key aspects of their finance function. Specifically, the client was in need of someone with construction industry experience to reconcile their WIP schedule to the QuickBooks G/L on a monthly basis. The client was currently using an in-house employee for data entry and bookkeeping, however, they did not have the skills to reconcile the WIP schedule to the QuickBooks reports and were unable to handle more senior-level accounting duties.

ProNexus Solution

ProNexus assigned a consultant with industry specific expertise at a Controller level to provide Financial Reporting, including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets. ProNexus performed monthly reporting for each of the client’s three commercial buildings, as they each had separate annual reporting requirements. ProNexus also assisted with month end close, cash reconciliations, G/L account reconciliations and WIP reporting.
