Private Manufacturing Company Engages Interim Credit Manager

The client is a Large Private Manufacturing Company that specializes in chemical materials with locations across the globe. They recently experienced a sudden gap in their Credit & Collections department, causing a number of inefficiencies throughout the company. The Client was looking for someone who could come in on short notice and take ownership of the credit, collections and cash environment. Additionally, it was determined that they needed a hands-on manager who could handle an outsourced AR department, and had prior experience using SAP. Ultimately, they needed to bring someone in who would be able to bring the department back in line with corporate goals.
ProNexus was engaged by the client to provide a credit manager to implement changes and to re-energize the department. ProNexus assigned a consultant to the engagement who was able to bring a wide variety of experience and know-how to the organization.
ProNexus identified the immediate needs of the client, including some key roadblocks with the customer service teams that provided back office support for credits, logistics and price discrepancies, and was able to develop and implement new work strategies and goals. The credit card process was revamped in order to maximize cash collections for the smallest business unit and EDI procedures were restored to ensure the top accounts were billed efficiently. By the end of the engagement communications had improved with both internal (sales, customer service, logistics) and external clients. Ultimately the consultant was able to step in and successfully meet or exceed all target goals by the end of the engagement.
