About the Role

ProNexus is looking for highly skilled financial professionals who will provide expert guidance and support to our clients. This role involves offering strategic financial advice, optimizing financial processes, and implementing best practices to enhance the financial health and performance for clients. The CFO works closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with an organization’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Analysis and Planning
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess the current financial standing of the organization.
    • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business objectives.
    • Identify key financial metrics and performance indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
  2. Strategic Financial Management
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to executive management.
    • Assess risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Advise on investment decisions, capital allocation, and funding strategies.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations.
    • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
    • Oversee internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
  4. Process Improvement and Efficiency
    • Evaluate existing financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
    • Provide training and guidance to finance teams to optimize financial operations.
  5. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support
    • Participate in due diligence processes for M&A transactions.
    • Assess financial implications and risks associated with potential acquisitions or divestitures.
    • Support negotiation and integration efforts during M&A transactions.
  6. Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, executive leadership, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives and resolve financial issues.
    • Communicate financial performance, insights, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years* proven experience in financial management, preferably in a senior finance role.
    *Please note that ProNexus welcomes anyone to apply, including those that have 25+ years of experience and are willing to be hands on to perform the scope of work required by a client.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in a customer service or client facing role, and/or public accounting, consulting or advisory roles is advantageous.
