About the Role

ProNexus is looking for Finance Managers to oversee financial activities, manage financial resources, and provide strategic financial guidance to our clients. Reporting to the Director of Finance or Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager plays a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision-making to support the organization's objectives and ensure financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Lead the development and implementation of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
    • Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance tracking to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business drivers.
    • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, analyzing variances and providing explanations and recommendations.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance
    • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
    • Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities as needed to support audits and ensure compliance.
  4. Cash Management and Treasury
    • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure sufficient funds for operations and strategic initiatives.
    • Develop and implement cash management strategies, including investment strategies, debt management, and financing arrangements.
    • Monitor banking relationships, credit facilities, and compliance with debt covenants.
  5. Financial Systems and Process Improvement
    • Evaluate and optimize financial systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and streamlining within the finance function.
    • Implement best practices and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and enhance financial operations.
  6. Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and finance team members.
    • Communicate financial performance, strategies, and risks effectively to stakeholders, providing transparency and clarity.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to support business initiatives and achieve financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years* of experience in finance roles, with demonstrated success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service role / client facing, public accounting, consulting or advisory roles is advantageous.
