Business Situation:
The client is a public benefit corporation, created in 2002, by a special act of the legislature. The client’s mission is to provide safe and reliable water and wastewater management services to the community in an economical and efficient matter. The goal of the organization is to become a first-class competitive utility in the next five to seven years. In the last two months, they have had both their Finance Director and Accountant resign. Their ultimate goal is to back-fill the roles.
ProNexus Solution:
ProNexus was engaged by the client to provide Interim Management Services until they were able to hire and provide onboarding for replacements. ProNexus assigned a senior-level consultant with industry experience who also specializes in interim and short-term high-level management interventions. We assessed the situation and established a process to document the outgoing manager’s workflow. The specialized ERP system was reviewed and ProNexus was able to assume the day-to-day duties. In addition, ProNexus assumed the treasury and cash management responsibilities and recommended efficiency changes with a long-term goal of developing fully documented written procedures. Once the replacements were identified, ProNexus trained, transitioned, and transferred knowledge to the new hires.
