A Roadmap To Productivity 

The client is a large manufacturing company that specializes in machined, fabricated, and welded parts and assemblies. The organization recently found out that their Controller would be out of the office on a short-term medical leave (2-4 weeks). In order to keep up the day-to-day, the client was in need of an Interim Controller.

ProNexus Solution:

ProNexus was engaged by the client to perform an initial assessment to determine the level of effort and number of hours that would be required of the interim controller and to recommend changes as needed. The client also requested ProNexus to perform day-to-day controller duties. ProNexus assigned a consultant with industry experience to serve as their part-time interim controller.

During this time, ProNexus documented all current state processes and procedures and leveraged or enhanced all other existing documentation. This “roadmap” or “emergency playbook” can now be used in the event that the client’s controller is not able to function in the capacity required for the role. All relevant accounting, finance, and payroll processes are more robustly documented in the form of process narratives and business process flowcharts.

While onsite, ProNexus maintained productivity throughout the interim period until the controller returned from his leave of absence.
