About the Role

ProNexus is looking for experienced Senior Financial Analysts who can provide advanced financial analysis, modeling, and strategic insights to support decision-making and drive business performance for our clients. This role involves conducting complex financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as providing recommendations to senior management based on financial data and insights. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in driving financial planning, optimizing resource allocation, and maximizing shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Lead the development, implementation, and management of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
    • Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Prepare financial models, scenarios, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business drivers.
    • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, analyzing variances and providing explanations and recommendations.
  3. Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad-hoc analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and evaluate business performance.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  4. Investment Analysis and Capital Allocation
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital projects, and strategic initiatives using financial analysis techniques such as NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and ROI (Return on Investment).
    • Assess the financial impact of proposed investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
    • Provide recommendations on resource allocation and capital allocation strategies to maximize shareholder value.
  5. Financial Modeling and Forecasting
    • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast financial performance, assess business scenarios, and support decision-making.
    • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate the potential impact of different business assumptions and scenarios.
    • Identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategic actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, sales, and marketing, to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and align financial plans with business objectives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, business partners, and stakeholders.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts and analysis effectively to non-financial stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving action.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years* of experience in accounting and financial management roles, with progressive responsibility.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using Excel and financial software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Tableau).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in a customer service role / client facing, public accounting, consulting or advisory roles is advantageous.
